About Us

Chattahoochee Bank of Georgia was formed by a local group of Gainesville business leaders, bank executives, and community-focused individuals who believe that there is significant demand for a locally owned community bank. We opened on September 16, 2008, as a full-service commercial bank offering a wide range of interest bearing and non-interest bearing accounts.  Our management team emphasizes prompt and responsive personal service to business professionals, small business owners, builders and real estate developers, and consumers located in and around Hall County, Georgia. Chattahoochee Bank of Georgia’s primary tools to capture market share include local decision making, a vast offering of  banking services, emphasis upon individual attention, and high quality service at our convenient, downtown Gainesville location.  As active members of the community in and around the Hall County area, we are excited for the opportunity to serve you with all of your banking needs.

Chattahoochee Bank of Georgia is participating in the FDIC’s Transaction Account Guarantee Program. All funds in a “noninterest-bearing transaction account” are insured in full by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation from December 31, 2010, through December 31, 2012. This temporary unlimited coverage is in addition to, and separate from, the coverage of at least $250,000 available to depositors under the FDIC’s general deposit insurance rules. The term “noninterest-bearing transaction account” includes a traditional checking account or demand deposit account on which the insured depository institution pays no interest. It also includes Interest on Lawyers Trust Accounts (“IOLTAs”).  It does not include other accounts, such as traditional checking or demand deposit accounts that may earn interest, NOW accounts and money-market deposit accounts. For more information about temporary FDIC insurance coverage of transaction accounts, visit www.fdic.gov.
